Streatham Therapy Centre - Thursdays 18.45 - 20.00
From Thursday 10 November 2011, South London T’ai Chi will be running a new six weeks T’ai Chi - Balance Improvement course at “Streatham Therapy Centre” in Streatham. The course takes place from 18.45 - 20.00 at: Streatham Therapy Centre, 1-4 The High Parade, (entrance on Leigham Ave), Streatham High Road, SW16 1EX. A new Class will be resumed every six weeks.
The class syllabus includes: Warm up exercises and meditation, partner work and Cheng Man-ch’ing’s Yang style Short Form. The fee for this class is 42.00 pounds for six sessions.
The Streatham Therapy Centre provides an extensive range of therapies, treatments and classes. These include Pilates, Yoga, ‘Tai Chi, Physiotherapy, Massage and many others.

T’ai Chi for Lambeth Age UK - Two Classes
Two new T’ai Chi sessions have been developed in collaboration between South London T’ai Chi and Lambeth Age UK. The “Fit as a Fiddle” programme is promoting increased physical activity and well-being amongst older people in Lambeth. This programme is Lottery funded.
Session 1: Wednesdays 10.00-11.30, from 17 August - 9 November 2011 in Coventry Hall, Polworth Road, SW16 2EE.
Session 2: Fridays 1.30-15.00, from 19 August - 17 February 2012 in Tusle Hill Estate, Purser House. This session takes place every other Friday.

Open Group - Friday 10.00 - 11.15
South London T’ai Chi and the Katherine Low Settlement have started a new course for the community from 2010 at the Katherine Low Settlement, 108 Battersea High Street, London, SW11 3HP. The class had been originally established around the “Women of Wandsworth” (WOW Mums Group) however, is now open to all. A new Class will be resumed every six weeks.
The class syllabus includes: Warm up and Meditation exercises, Shi Ba Shi, Partner Work, and the Yang style Cheng Man-ch’ing’s Short Form. The fee for this class is 6.00 Pounds per session or 30.00 Pounds for six sessions.

T’ai Chi at reCentre Health in Balham - Weds 18.00-19.00
South London T’ai Chi has been invited to run T’ai Chi - Balance Improvement sessions at this newly built centre in the heart of Balham. The course takes place every Wednesday evening from 18.00 - 19.00 at: 260 Balham High Road, London SW17 7AN. A new Class will be resumed every six weeks.

T’ai Chi for over 50s - Battersea - Thursday 10.15-11.30
Since 2008: South London T’ai Chi used to run weekly classes as part of Wandsworth Council’s Active Lifestyles 50+ Programme which was dedicated to promoting and encouraging physical activity and exercise amongst over 50s in Wandsworth. Since July 2010: These weekly classes continue to run in collaboration between the Katherine Low Settlement and South London Taichi maintaining its low fee. The class syllabus includes: Warm up and Meditation exercises, Shi Ba Shi, Partner Work and the Yang Style Cheng Man-ch’ing’s Short Form.
This course takes place every Thursdays, 10.15am - 11.30am, Katherine Low Settlement, 108 Battersea High Street, London, SW11 3HP. This class is open to all over 50 years of age with mixed abilities and subsidised by the Katherine Low Settlement as part of their service to the community. The cost of the class is 4.50 per session and it is now fully subscribed.
The Society of The Sacred Heart, Roehampton - Weds 14.00-15.00
South London T’ai Chi has been running Balance Improvement movements, T’ai chi and medition sessions for the elderly sisters of The Society of The Sacred Heart since 2008.
The one hour weekly sessions caters for both able and also for sisters who are unable to stand or have limited mobility. These classes contain; gentle T’ai Chi and Balance Improvement movements combined with seated meditation. The Society of The Sacred Heart invites the local community to come and join these sessions with them by prior arrangement. GP referral Scheme-Lambeth Council, Brixton - Thursday 14.00-15.30
Since 2008: South London T’ai Chi has been running a course for Lambeth Council for patients referred by GPs. This course takes place every Thursday, 14.00-15.30 at Ferndale Community Sports Centre - Nursery Road, Brixton, SW9 8PB. This course will be resumed from 6th Jan 2011.
This initiative is part of Lambeth Council’s Healthy Lifestyles GP Referral Scheme: Syllabus generally contains: Balance Improvement movements and seated meditation, T’ai Chi Walk, partner work and selection of movements from T’ai Chi Short Form. All movements are carefully chosen to cater for people with medical conditions.
